JASON “THE IRONMAN” WOOD WINS BIG!
February 23rd, 2009Congratulations to Jason “The Ironman” Wood!!! Jason, who is a Professional MMA fighter, fought this past weekend (February 20) in Knoxville, Tennessee. Jason was victorious over Horacio “The Warrior” Rodriguez. Jason defeated Rodriguez by submission at 2:27 in Round One of the contest!! JAMMA is very proud to be associated with Jason and want to offer public congratulations. (See the attached link for the details from the fight card.)
As always, Jason will be at the JAMMA event coming up this weekend, February 28th — Jackson Fairgrounds Park. Be sure to offer your congratulations when you see him there.

Another Sell-Out Crowd for JAMMA, Dec. 26th
December 31st, 2008A capacity sell-out crowd enjoyed the second JAMMA event on the night after Christmas, December 26th, 2008. There was excitement in the air from the very beginning, when special guest, country music star Daryll Worley greeted the crowd and sang the National Anthem. 13 big amateur matches kept the crowd jumping to their feet during the electrifying night. Inaugural JAMMA Event a Sell-Out
December 2nd, 2008A capacity crowd enjoyed the first JAMMA (Jackson Area Mixed Martial Arts) ISKA sanctioned event on “Black Friday” Nov. 28th at Jackson Fairgrounds Park. Rave comments like, “This is jammin’ ” and “We’ll definitely be back for the after Christmas Show” were heard throughout the packed arena.
Promoters and Security allowed some limited standing room, but turned dozens of fans away at bell time, when every seat was filled. Disappointed fans who did not purchase tickets in advance made plans to get them well ahead of the Dec. 26th “Twas the Fight After Christmas” event.
